Dozer Park on June 30th was the place to be! The sun was beaming, there was a breeze was in the air, and the scent of popcorn and Dave Volker's garlic fries had us all drooling. It was a perfect day for Presbys of all ages to gather and have some serious fun.
We were seated right behind home plate. Americas favorite summer past time was our main event, but the real show was off the field. Every time a batter strutted up to the plate, there was Finn, busting out dance moves that would make anyone laugh. "Jump on It" will forever remind me of Finn.
But the real surprises came when Anna snagged a foul ball—seriously, we should have all been wearing helmets! Then Henry caught a toy avocado (yes, you read that right), and Konner managed to grab a t-shirt with the help of some taller kids.
And let's not forget Sunday Funday, where all the kids got to tear up the bases after the game. Their laughter was infectious, echoing through the park. It was clear: running those bases was the highlight of their day—and maybe ours too, watching them.
Being part of a church family that embraces both faith and fun? That's the essence of it. That's why I love being a member of First Presbyterian Church, where we support and care for each other deeply. It's during events like the game, I love to chant and be silly and say things like " FPC..." and Tom Responded "WHO ARE WE," it's a joyful reminder of our unity and spirit.
